Nikka City Shakedown

NIKKA CITY SHAKEDOWN

CONCEPT

A trip around the world to discover the best sips, cities, and sights in 5 episodes.

Each bartender showed their favourite spots in their respective cities, before heading back to their own bars to create a delicious cocktail.

about this project

This project was exciting to work on as it presented the challenge of creating a complex narrative with continuity across 5 episodes, all filmed in different locations, at different times and with different talent.

The succesful result was achieved through careful planning (including consistent scripting and shot lists); maintaining a consistent video structure and editing style.

OBJECTIVES

The goal was to create a series that engaged the 50 Best Bars' social media audience whilst championing Nikka Whisky.

This was achieved by creating a a fast paced, visually beautiful journey from the city tour to the cocktail making, and by adapting each episode's format to different social media video sizes, depending on the platform.
